Cultivating personal style + dating in London

Featuring an unconventional date with a cute British surfer

Real quick, this necklace is so good. It was just released and will sell out soon (not available again til the fall after that). I have this one, which is similar and a slightly lower price point. Both are perfect to throw one on with whatever you’re wearing to look polished on a zoom. I’m typically dressed in a T-shirt and look awfully plain on a screen until I add that necklace - it gets a lot of compliments.

PART ONE

(Part Two is the date)

I find hair to be the most important element of personal style. It is so worth investing time and thought into. Having great hair completely changes how your clothes look and how you are perceived.

I think it’s possible to have great style with super basic clothes as long as your hair is right. Hair is everything. It sets the tone and is the most central element of your style 24/7. It’s also incredibly personal and has a huge effect on mood. At least for me.

CBK is a stunning woman who is lovely in both pictures, but the platinum blonde made her iconic. It also made everything she wore look super intentional (I mean, it all probably was), but even more so by association (next to her hair). On the right, her hair is extremely specific. The straightness. The center part. And the color. On the left, she is fabulous but far less intentional. Huge difference in how she is perceived and how clothes look on her.
