Makeup for natural, glowy skin

The products I'm considering after extensive online research and tutorial viewing

As I use up the final drops of my current concealer, I’ve decided to move on to greener pastures with my next purchase. I have two criteria: natural, glowy, airbrushed texture and gorgeous packaging. After some extensive research and beauty tutorial viewing, here are the top contenders.

MORE THAN CONCEALER

This gorgeous compact can be used as concealer, foundation, or anywhere in between. It looks insanely natural on skin from what I can see online. The “shine baume” can be used as a primer, a highlighter, or mixed into the “soft veil” makeup for a dewy effect. I love the two formula concept and how streamlined and versatile it is. And the shiny red compact is quite possibly the most enticing beauty packaging ever made.

AN UPGRADE

I’m officially grossed out by my beauty blender. It’s effective but hideous. I’ve decided to switch to a brush, and I think this is the best one (Fara Homidi is queen).

CONCEALER MEETS SKINCARE

My skin is dry and the older I get the more moisture I need, especially under my eyes. This Victoria Beckham Agustinus Bader collab could be the ticket.

JAPANESE QUALITY

I have a feeling this concealer would be excellent quality and look airbrushed. I used to use Koh Gen Do Moisture Foundation. It was the only product I could find that didn’t get stuck in my pores and lines, highly recommend it actually.

I don’t currently use tinted moisturizer or foundation (just concealer and this for a healthy glow, applied with this Kabuki brush), but these products are making me reconsider.

PIQUING MY INTEREST IN FOUNDATION

I continue to see testimonials and tutorials where this looks flawless. If it’s too much coverage, I could dilute it with moisturizer… and decide on any given day where on the spectrum between foundation and tinted moisturizer I want to be.

SKIN CARE MEETS TM

This tinted moisturizer is pricey, but people are so obsessed with it that I feel compelled to experience it.

ALSO

I think adding a few drops of this into foundation or tinted moisturizer adds a more natural texture and a healthy glow. Or it can just be used on its own. Maybe apply only this + concealer for the minimalist makeup routine win?

BTW

The other product in my makeup bag almost ready for a replacement is lip liner, and there is only one option on my radar. For function alone, I do adore this and have worn it daily for years. But, truthfully, the packaging isn’t my fave. This gorgeous Fara Homidi in the color “Doux” is a similar shade, also garners rave reviews, and visually sparks joy. Plus, it comes with a baby blue sharpener. I think this is the one for me.

I love how this looks and have zero shame about only considering beauty products with attractive packaging. Though I wouldn’t purchase for the packaging alone, even though this baby blue lipstick compact is pretty irresistible.

If you’re on the hunt for similar makeup, I hope this helps. I’ll report back when I make decisions. I’ll also be sharing the full contents of my toiletry bags (I have three - beauty is the most challenging area for me to minimize) with premium subscribers soon. Upgrade to receive it.

For anyone in the mood to further explore, my fave makeup, skin, nail, and hair care products are here.
