Things I ate in Denmark

My go-to breakfast, amateur easy hand rolls, and the surprising thing about Danish grocery stores

This gorgeous kitchen belongs to my dear friend Emily who I’ve known since I was 20, and who I saw for the first time in more than a decade in Copenhagen. Reconnecting with friends and relatives has been one of the best parts of traveling. Particularly being a house guest where there’s a level of intimacy that just doesn’t happen unless you’re sharing a kitchen, a bathroom, late night chats, and a morning routine.

Never have I shared a kitchen (or perhaps even a meal) with someone with closer food tastes and preferences to my own than I did with Emily. She likes flaky salt and lemon even more than I do. I didn’t know it was possible. We had such a good time cooking together. Here are some of the things we made.
