What it would be like to live in Denmark

Land of direct, liberal, sporty, demure, rule abiding, fjord swimming people with elevated, timeless taste and ingenious systems

When I arrived in Copenhagen, I headed over to my dear friend Emily’s apartment.

She insisted I immediately rent a bike. You can’t be in Copenhagen without one.

This modest grey number was my mine for a week, parked outside Emily’s apartment.

Mention car service in Copenhagen, and the brow in front of you will furl in confusion. There is no Uber. The most convenient way to get around is by bike, supplemented by public transportation if necessary (cleverly built to welcome people with and without bikes). I have to say, it has been inspiring to see how Denmark has designed cars out of their lifestyle with city infrastructure, systems, and general culture.
