Capsule wardrobe edit + summer dresses

When you receive this, I’ll be en route from London to France. My cousin, her teenage daughter, and I will take their car on the ferry and then drive to a charming town on the northern coast where my cousin has a stone cottage that’s been in her family for generations. I’ve always wanted to go. I’ll share pics. So excited. In my next letter, I’ll share a recap of London (dating, wardrobe additions, an impromptu photoshoot, and more). If my cousin’s sustainability hacks don’t make it into that letter, they’ll be on the way soon.

To hold you over, here’s a quick edit of some capsule wardrobe pieces I came across this week.

Top row: Navy tee (an item that is surprisingly hard to come by), retro bamboo bag, one piece with a classic French print, croc slides, cherry tee (great color, great cut).

Bottom row: White Phoebe Philo / Chloe-esque jeans, croc sandals, Nancy Meyers sweater, gorge eyelet sundress (here’s a chic white skirt w/ cool details in case you’d prefer a separate), black button front sundress.

And a few more dresses. Several would be great for summer weddings. All are classics that could be worn many times over many years.

Left to right: a fantastic dress in a very particular shade of pink that I love and have worn for years, Rodarte slip dress w/ rosette detail, light hearted LBD, ladylike printed maxi, 90s Calvin Klein cut in a fun print.

Also, my sister gave me a sample of this hyaluronic serum, and it is one of the most effective products I’ve ever tried. I wasn’t familiar with the brand, but it looks like serious stuff. Highly recommend if you’re looking to invest in skin care. I saw much more immediate and intense results with it than the Barbara Sturm hyaluronic serum.

See you soon,
